HOME* Main Poem Index* January Poem List* Next Poem Frantic Directorates Would be leaders faulter with flagrant words Flung about by transient intellects Projecting choice delving into absurds Unjudged by politics that selects Decision making while voting through hope As reality contorts under stress Induced by Incompleteness in its grope Twisting reason's resulting social mess Dizzy decision makers shift and sweat Burdened by such gaunt stares from callous crowds Scorched by hunger for truth of hurdles met They hide ignorance behind formal shrowds Claiming to know what science cannot see Hunting for what the well meaning can't find Becomming shrill claiming authority Can be exercised without well formed mind Without explanation as one would please Which seems antithetical to contracts Which could have been signed by signatories In life's covenants written under attacks (c)ERA 09:27 PM 1/22/03
