Double Speak

It would seem that religious guilt has arrived
As christian presidents blame for the kill
Those whose minds they would mold because these thrived
Under other systems of law and will

National danger was the rationale
For declaring war with wide destructions
Breaking the back of resistance thru hell
By burning and smashing all obstructions

Rebuilding nationalist perspectives
Of other peoples whose favors fate sought
Accordingly their gods were selective
That they live unless by us they are caught

In the grasp of our sober bayonets
Such a tragedy that gods chose their side
For their gods will die like porpoise in nets
When we reach out to catch their darker pride

Place their evil in one bucket of life
Mix in their godheads for analysis
Poke at their hearts, let their gods see their strife
Will gods overcome their paralysis

Probably not, as priests abandon flocks
Morality dies like ill watered vines
Religions fail behind history's clocks
Wallowing with blood cult wafers in wines
